Old Fashion Western Fudge

3 C sugar
1 C evaporated milk
1/2 C butter
2 C semi sweet chocolate chips
1 jar (7 to 7 1/2 oz marshmallow cream)
1 C chopped nuts (optional)
1 teas vanilla extract

Butter a 13x9x2 pan
In heavy sauce pan combine sugar, milk & butter. Bring to a full boil (rolling boil) over high heat stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium and boil 5 mins. at approximately 234 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. Stir till melted. Stir in marshmallow cream, nuts & vanilla. Pour into buttered pan & cool till firm. Makes 117-1" pieces.
